Featured Event | To Tell or Not to Tell? Navigating Autism Disclosure Beyond the Classroom
When: November 4, 2026 at 7PM
Where: Sudbury Meetinghouse
What the event will feature:
When should you share your child's autism diagnosis, and who really needs to know? From after-school programs and sports teams to summer camps and social activities, there's a lot for parents to consider.
We'll talk about privacy, safety, support needs, and the benefits and potential drawbacks of disclosure. We'll also explore how to involve your child in these decisions and when sharing what helps them succeed may be more useful than sharing a diagnosis.
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. The goal is helping parents feel more confident when making decisions while respecting their child's needs, preferences, and growing independence.
